This external article introduces omnishot, a small macOS utility for making screenshots easier to use with remote coding agents and other input surfaces.
The workflow is intentionally boring: watch the screenshot folder, run local OCR, ask Apple Foundation Models for a semantic slug, rename the file, keep local history, and expose several paste modes. The same screenshot can become an SSH path reference for a remote agent, raw image bytes for a local app, a short-lived S3 URL, or a durable public link.
The bigger point is that agentic workflows often fail at the small joints between human context and machine context. File paths, clipboards, SSH aliases, and artifact folders are not glamorous, but making them smooth makes remote agents much more practical.
